Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Tacloban City, the capital of Leyte. Take the Maharlika Highway (AH26) and continue towards the town of San Jorge in Samar. Follow the signs leading to San Jorge, which is approximately a 2-hour drive (around 90 kilometers). Once you reach San Jorge, look for the local signposts that guide you to Pinipisakan Falls. There is a small parking area near the entrance to the falls where you can leave your vehicle.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Tacloban City to Catbalogan City. This ride will take about 3 hours. From Catbalogan City, transfer to a jeepney heading to San Jorge. The jeepney ride will take approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive in San Jorge, you can ask locals for directions to Pinipisakan Falls. It is advisable to hire a local motorcycle (habal-habal) or a tricycle for the last leg of your journey, as the falls are about 5 kilometers from the town center. The motorcycle ride should cost around 50 to 100 PHP.
Hiking
Once you reach the area close to Pinipisakan Falls, be prepared for a short hike. There are trails leading to the falls, which may take about 15-30 minutes depending on the route chosen. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water with you. The trails can be slippery, so proceed with caution.
