Car
If you're driving from Cagayan de Oro, take the National Highway (AH26) towards Iligan City. Continue for about 2 hours (approximately 82 km). Once you reach Iligan City, follow the signs to Maria Cristina Falls and then to the Limunsudan Falls area. The last part of the trip will involve navigating through dirt roads, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Park at the designated area near the entrance, and from there, it's a short hike to the falls.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Cagayan de Oro, board a bus heading to Iligan City at the Agora Bus Terminal. The journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours and costs around PHP 150. Once in Iligan City, you can take a tricycle to the nearest drop-off point for Limunsudan Falls. The tricycle fare will be around PHP 100-150. From the drop-off point, you may need to hike approximately 30 minutes to reach the falls.
Tricycle
In Iligan City, after getting off the bus, you can hire a tricycle to take you closer to Limunsudan Falls. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be between PHP 100-150 depending on how far they have to take you. This mode of transport is essential for navigating the local roads that are not accessible by larger vehicles.
Hiking
After parking your vehicle or getting dropped off by a tricycle, you'll need to hike to Limunsudan Falls. The trail is generally well-marked, but be prepared for some steep sections. The hike may take around 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your pace. It's advisable to wear sturdy shoes and bring water, as the hike can be strenuous.
