Car
If you are driving from Cagayan de Oro, take the National Highway (AH26) towards Iligan City. The journey takes about 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Iligan City, follow the signs to Tinago Falls, which is approximately 30 minutes from the city center. You will need to take a left turn at the intersection towards Maria Cristina Falls, then continue straight until you reach the Tinago Falls entrance. There is a parking area available, but be prepared to pay a small parking fee (around PHP 20). From the parking area, you will need to hike down approximately 300 steps to reach the falls.
Public Transportation
From Cagayan de Oro, you can take a bus to Iligan City. Buses leave regularly from the Agora Bus Terminal. Once you arrive in Iligan City, you can take a tricycle to the Tinago Falls entrance. The tricycle fare is approximately PHP 50-70 per person. After reaching the entrance, you will need to hike down around 300 steps to get to the falls. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the trail can be steep and slippery.
