Car
If you are driving to BUKO Trail, start from the central area of Legazpi City. Head southeast on Rizal Street towards Legazpi Boulevard, then turn right onto the Albay-Guinobatan Road (also known as the Legazpi-Guinobatan Road). Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for the BUKO Trail. There will be a small road leading to the trail entrance marked 'BUKO Trail'. Park your car in the designated area at the trailhead.
Public Transportation - Jeepney
From the city center of Legazpi, locate the jeepney terminal near the Plaza. Take a jeepney bound for Guinobatan or the one that specifically mentions 'BUKO Trail'. The fare should be around 15-25 PHP. Inform the driver that you are going to BUKO Trail, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the trailhead.
Public Transportation - Tricycle
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a tricycle from Legazpi City to BUKO Trail. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around 100-150 PHP for a one-way trip. The tricycle will take you directly to the entrance of the trail. Ensure that you agree on the return fare or ask the driver to wait for you.
Walking
Once you arrive at the trailhead, you will need to walk the remaining distance to start your hike. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water and snacks. The entrance to BUKO Trail is marked, and you will find information boards that will guide you along the trail.
