Getting There

• Car

  Start from the center of Legazpi City, Albay. Drive towards the direction of Bacacay via the Legazpi-Bacacay Road. The drive is approximately 20 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Bacacay, continue driving until you find a local port or beach area where boats to Vanishing Island are available. The nearest port is in Cagraray Island; look for signs or ask locals for directions to the boat launch area.

• Public Transportation (Jeepney)

  From Legazpi City, head to the bus terminal and take a jeepney heading to Bacacay. The fare is usually around PHP 20. Once you arrive in Bacacay, ask the driver to drop you off near the local port or beach area. From there, you will need to find a boat that can take you to Vanishing Island. Make sure to negotiate the boat fare beforehand, which can range from PHP 300 to PHP 600 depending on the number of passengers and the boat size.

• Boat

  Once you reach the port in Bacacay, look for local fishermen or boat operators offering rides to Vanishing Island. Ensure the boat you choose is safe and secure. The boat ride will take approximately 15-30 minutes. It is advisable to confirm the boat's return schedule so that you can plan your trip accordingly. Depending on the season, check the weather as conditions can affect boat availability.
