Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, start from Cagayan de Oro City. Head north on the National Highway (AH26) towards Iligan City. The drive takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Iligan City, follow the signs towards Maria Cristina Falls. Continue straight until you reach the junction for Dodiongan Falls (approximately 15 kilometers from the city center). Turn left onto the road leading to Barangay Buru-un. You'll see directional signs for Dodiongan Falls along the way. The last stretch of the road is a bit rough, so drive cautiously. Park at the designated area and proceed on foot to the falls, which is about a 30-minute hike.

Public Transportation

To reach Dodiongan Falls via public transportation, take a bus or van from Cagayan de Oro to Iligan City. Buses frequently depart from the Agora Bus Terminal. The fare is approximately 100-150 PHP and the trip takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Iligan City Terminal, look for a jeepney heading to Barangay Buru-un. The jeepney fare is around 20 PHP. Inform the driver that you are going to Dodiongan Falls. The jeepney will drop you off at the junction for Dodiongan Falls. From there, you will have to walk approximately 30 minutes to reach the falls. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water for the hike.
