If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Cagayan de Oro City. Head south on the 'Sayre Highway' (AH26) towards Bukidnon. After approximately 2 hours of driving, you will reach the town of Don Carlos. Upon entering Don Carlos, look for the signs directing you to 'Purok 8'. Take the turn onto a local road that leads you toward Purok 8. Continue on this road for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of Hamugaway Ridge, which will be on your left. Make sure to have a map app handy to navigate local side streets.

Bus
For those opting for public transportation, you can catch a bus from the Agora Bus Terminal in Cagayan de Oro City. Look for buses headed to Bukidnon, specifically those with 'Don Carlos' as their destination. The bus ride will take around 2 to 3 hours. Upon arriving at Don Carlos, you can either take a local tricycle (which costs about 20-50 PHP depending on your bargaining skills) or walk to Purok 8, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus terminal. Follow local signs or ask locals for directions to Hamugaway Ridge as you approach Purok 8.

Once you are in Don Carlos, if you prefer a quicker option from the bus terminal, hire a tricycle to take you directly to Hamugaway Ridge. The fare should range from 100 to 150 PHP depending on your negotiation. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Hamugaway Ridge located in Purok 8. The ride will take about 10 minutes.
