Car
If you're driving from Cagayan de Oro, head east on J.R. Borja Street towards the Macahambus Cave. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the National Highway (also known as the Cagayan de Oro – Bukidnon Road). Turn left onto the National Highway and follow the road for approximately 7 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Macahambus Cave on your right. There is a parking area available near the entrance.
Public Transportation (Jeepney)
Start at the Cagayan de Oro Jeepney Terminal. Look for jeepneys going towards El Salvador or Bukidnon. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Macahambus Cave entrance, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. The fare is around PHP 20-30. Once you arrive at the entrance, you may need to walk a short distance to the cave itself.
Motorcycle (Habala-Habala)
For a more adventurous option, you can hire a habal-habal (motorcycle taxi) from Cagayan de Oro. Negotiate the fare with the driver before starting your journey, which should cost around PHP 100-150. The motorcycle will take you directly to the Macahambus Cave entrance, which is about a 15-20 minute ride. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow safety precautions during the ride.
Walking
If you are nearby and prefer to walk from the nearest jeepney drop-off point, follow the path leading to Macahambus Cave. It’s approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the main road. Look for signs along the way directing you to the entrance of the cave.
