If you are traveling by car, start from Cagayan de Oro City. Head southeast on the National Highway (Cagayan de Oro - Iligan Road) towards the direction of Iligan City. Continue driving for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction near the town of Opol. Turn left towards the Opol - El Salvador Road. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach a sign for Monigue Crystal Cave. Follow the signs and drive another 5 kilometers to the cave entrance. Make sure your vehicle can handle unpaved roads as the last stretch may be rough.
Public Transportation
To reach Monigue Crystal Cave via public transportation, take a jeepney or bus from Cagayan de Oro City to Opol. The fare is usually around PHP 15-20. Once you arrive in Opol, hire a tricycle to take you to the cave. The tricycle ride will cost approximately PHP 100-150 and will take about 20-30 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
