Hiking
From the center of Sagada, start your journey by heading towards the main road. Walk northwest along the main road until you reach the junction where the road splits. Continue straight on the road towards the direction of the Sagada Municipal Hall. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for local signs directing you to Cervantes, Ilocos Sur. Follow these signs, and you will see paths leading out of Sagada into the mountainous area. The hike will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your pace, and it will be helpful to have a local guide if possible. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry water, as the terrain can be rough.
Public Transport
From the center of Sagada, walk to the Jeepney terminal near the Sagada Municipal Hall. Look for a Jeepney that is heading towards Bontoc or Cervantes. Ride the Jeepney until you reach the Bessang Pass Natural Monument. The fare is usually affordable, and the journey will take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Make sure to tell the driver your destination in advance. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the monument.
