Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards the city of Cebu if you're not already there. From Cebu City, take the North Reclamation Area Road and continue onto the Cebu North Road. Follow the signs towards the town of Danao City, which will take about 30 minutes. Once in Danao City, look for the port area where you can park your car. Ensure you have cash for parking fees, which typically range from 20 to 50 PHP. From the Danao Port, you can catch a ferry to Hilutungan Island, which takes about 45 minutes.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Hilutungan Island via public transportation, start at the Cebu North Bus Terminal. Board a bus heading to Danao City; the fare is approximately 30 PHP and the journey will take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the Danao Bus Terminal, walk to the nearby Danao Port (about 10 minutes on foot). At the port, purchase your ferry ticket to Hilutungan Island. Ferry fares are generally around 100 PHP and the trip lasts approximately 45 minutes.

  Once at Danao Port, look for the ticket booth for ferries heading to Hilutungan Island. It's advisable to check the ferry schedule in advance, as service times may vary. After purchasing your ticket, board the ferry, which will take you directly to Hilutungan Island. Make sure to keep your ticket handy for inspection during the ride.
