Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Iloilo City. Take the Iloilo-Antique Road (also known as the Iloilo-Culasi Road) heading northwest. Continue driving for approximately 2.5 to 3 hours (around 100 kilometers) until you reach San Remigio. Look for the signs directing you to the Antique Rice Terraces. Upon reaching San Remigio, you can enter Brgy. Gen. Fullon and follow local roads to the terrace area. Be aware that the final stretch may involve unpaved roads; a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Bus
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Iloilo City to San Remigio. The bus terminals in Iloilo City, such as the Ceres Transport Terminal, have regular departures to San Remigio. The fare is approximately 150-200 PHP and the trip takes about 3 hours. Once in San Remigio, you can hire a local tricycle (fare around 50-100 PHP) to take you to Brgy. Gen. Fullon where the Antique Rice Terraces are located. Ensure to confirm the exact drop-off point with the driver.
Tricycle
If you are already in San Remigio, you can hire a tricycle from the town center to take you directly to the Antique Rice Terraces. The tricycle ride may cost between 100-300 PHP depending on your negotiation skills and the distance covered. It’s advisable to agree on the fare before starting your journey. The tricycle will navigate through local roads, so be prepared for some rough terrain.
