Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you are already in Old Town, the most straightforward way to reach Dariusz Kobzdej Square is by walking. Start from the Main Town Hall, which is a well-known landmark. Head south on Długa Street towards the Green Gate. Continue walking until you reach the waterfront, then turn left onto the Podwale Staromiejskie street. Walk along this street for about 10 minutes, and you will see Dariusz Kobzdej Square on your right side. The square is located at Podwale Staromiejskie 109/112b, and you can easily recognize it by the surrounding cafes and benches.
Public Transport
If you prefer a quicker route or are farther away, you can take public transport. Head to the nearest tram stop, which could be at Mariacka Street or Główne Miasto. Take tram line 3 or 6 towards Gdańsk Zaspa. After about three stops, get off at the 'Dworzec Główny' stop. From there, walk west along Podwale Grodzkie, then turn left onto Podwale Staromiejskie. Dariusz Kobzdej Square will be a short walk ahead on your right. Be mindful that tram tickets cost around 3.80 PLN for a single journey.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, consider renting a bike from one of the many rental stations in Old Town. Head towards Długa Street and follow the bike lanes. Continue on the designated bike path that leads to Podwale Staromiejskie. The square will be on your right as you approach it. Ensure you check the rental costs, which typically range from 10 to 20 PLN per hour.
