From the center of Aveiro, make your way to the Aveiro Bus Station, known as 'Estação de Autocarros de Aveiro'. You can walk there in about 10-15 minutes from Praça da República. Once at the bus station, look for the bus line heading towards São Jacinto. Buses typically run every 30 minutes. After boarding, stay on the bus for approximately 20-25 minutes until you reach the stop for São Jacinto. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards Reserva Natural das Dunas de São Jacinto, which is about a 10-minute walk away.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Aveiro. Start from the city center and head towards the waterfront, following the cycle path along the canal. Continue along the path until you reach the bridge over the lagoon. Cross the bridge and follow the signs to São Jacinto. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your speed. Once you arrive at São Jacinto, follow the path to the entrance of the Reserva Natural das Dunas.

If you're up for a longer walk, you can head towards the beach at São Jacinto. Start from the center of Aveiro and follow the Rua de João Mendonça towards the coastline. Take the path that leads through the marshes towards São Jacinto. This scenic walk takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and you’ll enjoy the beautiful views of the lagoon and nature along the way. Once you reach São Jacinto, follow the signs to the Reserva Natural das Dunas de São Jacinto.
