Car
If you're driving from Ponta Delgada, take the EN1-1A road heading northeast. Follow the signs for Ribeira Grande and continue for about 20 km. Once you reach Ribeira Grande, take the exit for the EN1-1A towards Nordeste. Continue for about 10 km until you see a sign for Janela do Inferno. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Janela do Inferno by public transport, take a bus from Ponta Delgada to Ribeira Grande (lines operated by SMR). This journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From Ribeira Grande, you will need to catch another bus towards Nordeste. Make sure to check the bus schedules beforehand, as they may vary.
