If you're driving from Beira Alta, head southwest on the A1 motorway. Continue for about 80 km until you reach the exit for the A9 towards Loures. Merge onto A9 and drive for approximately 10 km. Take the exit toward Portela. Follow signs for Av. dos Descobrimentos, and after about 1 km, you will see Igreja de Cristo-Rei da Portela at Av. dos Descobrimentos 4, 2685-194 Portela. Parking is available nearby.

Start at the main bus terminal in Beira Alta. Take a bus heading to Lisbon, and get off at the Portela stop. You can check the schedule for the next bus as they run frequently. Once you arrive at Portela, it is a short 10-minute walk to Igreja de Cristo-Rei da Portela. Head west on Av. dos Descobrimentos, and the church will be on your left at number 4.

From Beira Alta, take a train towards Lisbon. Get off at the closest station to Portela, which is the Lisboa Oriente station. From there, take the Metro Red Line towards the Airport and get off at the Portela station. Once you exit, it is about a 15-minute walk to Igreja de Cristo-Rei da Portela. Head west on Av. dos Descobrimentos, and you will find the church at number 4. Make sure to check the train schedules; tickets usually cost around €5.
