Bus
From the center of Braga, head to the main bus station, known as 'Estação de Autocarros de Braga'. You can walk there in about 10 minutes from Praça da República. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket to Barcelos. Buses to Barcelos run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Barcelos bus station, the Museu Arqueológico is a short 10-minute walk away. Exit the bus station, turn left onto Rua da Estação, and continue straight until you reach Avenida da Liberdade. Turn right, and the museum will be on your left at 4750-323 Barcelos.
Train
From Braga's train station, take the train towards Nine. Make sure to check the schedule as trains may run every 30 minutes. The train journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Barcelos train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Av. da Liberdade. Turn left and walk straight for about 15 minutes. The Museu Arqueológico will be on your right at 4750-323 Barcelos.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Braga to Barcelos, the distance is approximately 12 km and will take about 2 to 3 hours. From Praça da República in Braga, head north on Rua do Raio, then turn left onto Av. da Liberdade. Continue on the road until you reach Barcelos. Follow the signs to the Museu Arqueológico, which is located at 4750-323 Barcelos. This route offers beautiful views of the countryside.
