The park is about a 15-minute walk from the bus station. Simply exit the bus station, head south on Rua do Comércio, and then turn left onto Rua da Praça. Follow this road until you reach the park entrance on your right.

From Braga, take a train from Braga Railway Station to the closest station to Amarante, which is the train station in Livração. Trains depart regularly, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Livração station, you will need to catch a local bus or a taxi to Amarante. Local buses operate frequently from Livração to Amarante, and the bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Once in Amarante, follow the previous instructions to reach Parque Florestal de Amarante.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from central Braga, you can take a scenic hike to Amarante. Start your journey at the historic Braga Cathedral and head southeast along Rua dos Capuchos towards the countryside. This route is about 25 kilometers long and may take approximately 5-6 hours, so ensure you're well-prepared with water and snacks.
