Walking
From the center of Braga, head towards Avenida da Liberdade. Walk straight until you reach the train station, Estação de Braga. From there, take the train to Porto, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at São Bento train station in Porto, exit the station and head towards the Ribeira district. Walk down Rua da Conceição, and turn left onto Rua do Comércio, which will lead you directly to the waterfront. The Ribeira area is a vibrant riverside promenade filled with cafes and stunning views of the Douro River.
Public Transport
Start at the Praça da República in Braga, where you can catch a bus to Porto. Look for bus lines 1 or 2, which frequently run to Porto. The bus ride will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Porto, follow the signs to the metro station. Take the metro line D (the yellow line) towards Santo Ovidio and get off at the station called Ribeira. From there, follow the signs to the waterfront, where you will find the lively Ribeira area.
