From the city center of Guimarães, start at the Praça de Santiago. Head southeast on Rua de Santiago until you reach the Rua de Camoens. Turn left onto Rua de Camoens and continue straight. When you reach the intersection with Avenida de Conde de Margaride, cross the street and continue walking along the Avenida. Follow the signs towards the Guimarães train station. From the station, you can take a train to Porto. Once you arrive at Porto's train station (Estação de São Bento), exit the station and follow the signs to the Ribeira district, which is a short 10-minute walk away.

Public Transport

From Guimarães, make your way to the Guimarães train station. You can take a local bus or walk to the station. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Porto. The trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. When you arrive at Porto's Estação de São Bento, exit the station and walk towards Rua de Ferreira Borges. Follow this street until you reach the Ribeira area, which is just a few blocks away and offers stunning views of the Douro River.

Taxi or Rideshare

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or a rideshare service from Guimarães to Porto. This option is convenient but may be more expensive. In Guimarães, you can hail a taxi from designated taxi stands or use a rideshare app on your phone. Provide the driver with the destination 'Ribeira, Porto.' The ride should take around 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
