Public Bus
From Caldas da Rainha, head to the main bus station located at Praça 25 de Abril. Look for the bus line that goes to Peniche. These buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you want to get off at Baleal. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. After getting off the bus, you will need to walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the beach area of Baleal.
Taxi
You can easily find a taxi near the main square or call one through a local taxi service. The taxi ride to Baleal will take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to tell the driver to take you to Baleal beach, which is a popular spot.
Bicycle Rental
If you are feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Caldas da Rainha. Follow the bike paths towards the coast, heading northwest. The ride to Baleal is approximately 12 kilometers and will take you about 40-50 minutes. Follow the signs towards Peniche, and be sure to enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Walking
If you enjoy walking and are up for a challenge, you can walk to Baleal from Caldas da Rainha. Start at the main square and head towards the northwest direction, following the signs to Peniche. The distance is around 12 kilometers, so it will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as this route does not have many facilities.
