Train
From Cascais train station, take the train towards Lisbon. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the Cais do Sodré station. At Cais do Sodré, transfer to the green metro line and head towards the 'Cais do Sodré' stop. Once you exit, walk towards the ferry terminal and take a ferry to Belém. The ferry ride takes approximately 20 minutes, and upon arrival in Belém, you can explore the area on foot.
Bus
From Cascais city center, head to the bus stop near the Cascais Marina. Take the Scotturb bus number 403 towards 'Lisbon (Cais do Sodré)'. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you reach the Cais do Sodré stop, you can either walk to the ferry terminal to take a ferry to Belém or walk to the nearby metro station to continue your journey via metro.
Walking
If you are staying in the central part of Cascais, you can walk to the Cascais train station. From there, take the train to Lisbon and follow the previous instructions for either the metro or ferry to reach Belém. Alternatively, if you prefer walking, it would take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach the ferry terminal in Lisbon and then take the ferry to Belém.
Bicycle
If you enjoy cycling, rent a bike in Cascais and ride along the scenic coastal path towards Lisbon. Follow the signs towards the waterfront and continue along the river until you reach Belém. The ride can take around an hour, depending on your cycling pace. Be sure to visit the various attractions along the way, including the beautiful waterfront and parks.
