Start at Cascais train station. Take the train towards Lisbon (Cascais Line) and get off at the Cais do Sodré station in Lisbon. From Cais do Sodré, transfer to the metro and take the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards Telheiras. Get off at the next stop, Baixa-Chiado. At Baixa-Chiado, transfer to the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards Santa Apolónia and get off at the next stop, Terreiro do Paço. Once you exit the station, walk towards the riverfront and find the bus stop for the bus number 794. Take the 794 bus towards Estação do Oriente and get off at the stop 'Alameda do Beato'. The Convento do Beato will be a short walk from the bus stop, located at Alameda do Beato 40.

This scenic walk will take you along the coast for about 30-40 minutes until you reach the city of Lisbon. Once you arrive at Cais do Sodré, you can follow the same public transport instructions above to reach Convento do Beato, or continue walking. From Cais do Sodré, head towards Rua do Arsenal and then take Rua das Portas de Santo Antão towards Avenida Almirante Reis. From there, continue straight until you reach Alameda do Beato.
