Walking
From the Cascais train station, exit onto Avenida Dom Carlos I. Turn left and walk straight until you reach the bus station. From there, take the bus to Lisbon. Once you arrive in Lisbon, head towards the Baixa-Chiado metro station. Take the metro on the green line towards Cais do Sodré and transfer at Rossio station to the red line towards Aeroporto. Get off at the Santa Apolónia station. From Santa Apolónia, walk towards the riverfront and follow the signs to Alfama, which is about a 15-minute walk. Look for Largo do Chafariz de Dentro, where the Fado Museum is located.
Train
Take the train from Cascais to Lisbon, departing from Cascais train station. The train ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Cais do Sodré station, exit and walk to the metro station. Take the green line towards Chiado and get off at Rossio. From Rossio, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) to the Fado Museum in Alfama or take a taxi if you're unsure of the route.
Bus
From Cascais, you can take the bus number 403 towards Lisbon. Get off at the 'Praça do Comércio' stop. From there, walk towards the river and head east along the riverfront. Follow the signs for Alfama, which is a 15-20 minute walk. As you walk, make sure to explore the streets and alleyways that lead to Largo do Chafariz de Dentro, where the Fado Museum is located.
