Getting There

    From any point in Cascais, head to the Cascais train station, which is located in the town center. You can walk there or take a local bus if you're further away. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for Lisbon, which will take you to Cais do Sodré station. The train ride is about 40 minutes. After arriving at Cais do Sodré, follow the signs to the metro station and take the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards Telheiras. Get off at the station called 'Oriente'.

    After exiting the Oriente metro station, you will find yourself in Parque das Nações. Follow the signs to the Oceanário de Lisboa, which is about a 15-minute walk from the station. As you exit the station, head towards the riverfront and turn right. Walk along the waterfront promenade, passing by various shops and cafes until you see the large structure of the Oceanário. The address is Esplanada Dom Carlos I s/nº, 1990-005 Lisboa.

  • Bus

    Alternatively, after getting off at Cais do Sodré, you can take the bus. Walk to the nearby bus stop and take the bus number 728 towards Cais do Sodré. This bus will take you to the Oriente area. From the bus stop, follow the same directions as mentioned for the walking route to the Oceanário de Lisboa.
