Getting There

Train

From Cascais station, board a train heading towards Lisbon. The train departs frequently, approximately every 20 minutes. You will travel for about 10-15 minutes. Get off at Carcavelos station. Once you arrive at Carcavelos, exit the station and head towards the Avenida Marginal. The beach, Praia de Carcavelos, is a short 15-minute walk straight down the Avenida Marginal. Follow the road until you see the beach on your left.
Bus

From the Cascais center, you can take the bus number 414 going towards Carcavelos. The bus ride takes about 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Carcavelos' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the beach by heading down the Avenida Marginal for about 10 minutes. Praia de Carcavelos will be on your left.
Walking

If you're in the Cascais town center and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route along the coastline. Head towards the coast and follow the boardwalk along Praia da Rainha and Praia da Conceição. Continue along the beachfront until you reach Praia de Carcavelos. This walk will take around 1 hour and offers beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean.
