Train
If you are in Cascais, start by heading to the Cascais train station, which is located near the town center. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Lisbon, specifically to the 'Cais do Sodré' station. The train journey will take approximately 40 minutes, and trains run frequently. Once you arrive at Cais do Sodré, exit the station and walk towards the waterfront. From there, you will need to take the metro or tram to 'Rossio' station. Upon exiting the tram, walk along 'Rua do Ouro' until you reach 'Rua Augusta', a notable pedestrian street in Lisbon.
Bus
From Cascais, you can also take the bus to Lisbon. Head to the Cascais bus terminal located near the train station. Look for the bus number 403 or 417 that heads to Lisbon. The journey will take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Lisbon, walk towards the nearest metro station, 'Marquês de Pombal'. Take the metro to 'Rossio' station. From Rossio, walk along 'Rua do Ouro' until you arrive at 'Rua Augusta'.
Walking/Combination of Public Transport
If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore, you can walk to Lisbon. Start from Cascais, walk towards the coastal path, following the signs for the 'Cascais-Estoril promenade'. This scenic route will take you along the beach, and you can stop for refreshments along the way. Eventually, you will reach Estoril. From Estoril, you can take a train to Cais do Sodré. Follow the same steps as mentioned above after reaching Lisbon.
