Car
If you are driving from Sintra, take the A16 highway towards Lisbon. Follow the signs for Lisbon and merge onto the A2 highway. Continue on the A2 until you reach the Praça de Espanha roundabout. Take the exit for the Eixo Norte-Sul and follow it until you see the signs for the city center. Exit onto the Avenida da Liberdade and continue straight. Turn right onto R. dos Sapateiros. There is limited parking in the area, so plan to arrive early.

To reach R. dos Sapateiros by public transport, take the Sintra train from Sintra station towards Lisbon. The journey will take about 40 minutes. Get off at Rossio station in Lisbon. From Rossio station, exit and head towards Praça da Figueira. Walk straight down R. da Betesga, and then turn left onto R. dos Sapateiros. The street is a short walk from the station, approximately 10 minutes.
