Breathtaking Views at Rocha Conde de Óbidos Viewpoint

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Sintra train station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Avenida Dr. Miguel Bombarda). Turn left and walk straight until you reach the bus stop for the 434 bus. Take the bus to the 'Sintra (Centro)' stop. From there, head towards the National Palace, and continue walking down Rua da Rainha. After about 10 minutes, you will see a sign for the bus that goes to Lisbon. Take the bus to Lisbon and get off at the 'Cais do Sodré' stop. From Cais do Sodré, walk towards the river and follow the waterfront until you reach Praça do Comércio. Then, take the tram or bus that goes to 'Alcântara' and get off at the 'Rocha Conde de Óbidos' viewpoint.

• Public Transport

  From Sintra's center, head to the bus station and take the 450 bus towards Lisbon. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Praça da Figueira' stop. Once you arrive, walk towards the 'Rossio' train station and take the train towards 'Cascais'. Get off at the 'Cais do Sodré' station. From there, follow the signs to the waterfront, then walk along the river. As you approach the area near the 'Cais do Sodré', you will find the tram stop. Board tram number 25 and get off at 'Rocha Conde de Óbidos'. The viewpoint will be just a short walk from the tram stop.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Sintra. Simply ask the driver to take you to 'Rocha Conde de Óbidos Viewpoint, Travessa do Olival a Santos 18, Lisboa'. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before getting in the taxi.
