Getting There

Start at the Coimbra city center, near the University of Coimbra. Head east on Rua Ferreira Borges until you reach the main Avenue, Avenida Sá da Bandeira. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua da Sofia. Turn left onto Rua da Sofia and walk until you reach the end of the street. Here you will find a staircase leading up to the Jardim Botânico (Botanical Garden). Enter the garden and follow the paths leading through the garden towards the east exit. After exiting, you will find yourself on Ladeira Vale do Inferno. Continue uphill on this path until you reach Hell Valley Viewpoint, which offers stunning views of Coimbra.

From the Coimbra city center, head to the nearest bus stop (e.g., Rua de Sofia). Take the bus line that goes towards 'Vale de Canas' or 'S. Martinho do Bispo'. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop closest to Ladeira Vale do Inferno. Once you get off the bus, walk uphill on Ladeira Vale do Inferno until you reach Hell Valley Viewpoint. The walk will take around 10-15 minutes.
