From Coimbra city center, head to the main bus station, Terminal Rodoviário de Coimbra. Once there, look for the bus company Rede Expressos or another local company that offers services to Ílhavo. Purchase a ticket to Ílhavo, and board the bus. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ílhavo bus station, exit and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Avenida Doutor Rocha Madahil, where the Museu Marítimo de Ílhavo e Aquário dos Bacalhaus is located at number 193.

Start from Coimbra-B train station, where you can catch a train to Aveiro. Trains to Aveiro are frequent and take about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Aveiro station, exit and find the bus terminal nearby. Look for a local bus or a connection to Ílhavo. The bus ride from Aveiro to Ílhavo will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Ílhavo, walk to Avenida Doutor Rocha Madahil; the museum is at number 193.

If you are already in the Ílhavo area, you can walk to the Museu Marítimo de Ílhavo e Aquário dos Bacalhaus by heading towards Avenida Doutor Rocha Madahil. Start from the town center, and walk straight along Rua 25 de Abril. Continue until you reach the intersection, then turn left onto Avenida Doutor Rocha Madahil. The museum will be on your right side at number 193, approximately a 15-minute walk from the town center.
