If you are starting from the Coimbra city center, make your way to Rua Ferreira Borges. This street is a short walk from the main shopping area. Continue straight until you reach the end of this street, where you will find a large square known as Praça 8 de Maio. From there, head towards the east side of the square, where you will see signs pointing to the New Cathedral (Igreja da Sé Nova). Follow the signs up the hill towards Largo Feira dos Estudantes. Once you reach Largo Feira dos Estudantes, the New Cathedral will be directly in front of you.

From there, you will need to walk approximately 10 minutes. Exit the bus and head towards Rua da Sofia. Walk up the hill, following the signs to the New Cathedral. As you reach the top of the hill, you will see the cathedral on your left at Largo Feira dos Estudantes.
