Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the University of Coimbra, head down the hill towards the city center. As you reach the main road, Rua da Sofia, continue straight until you reach the Praça da República. This is a bustling square where you can take a moment to enjoy the atmosphere. From Praça da República, head towards Rua Ferreira Borges and follow this road as it leads you to the Coimbra train station. Once at the station, exit onto Avenida Fernão de Magalhães and turn left. Follow the avenue until you see signs for the river. Continue towards the riverbanks, where you will find the beautiful pedestrian bridge, Ponte Pedonal Pedro e Inês. The bridge is located right near the river, and it's an iconic spot with stunning views.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  If you're near the Coimbra city center, you can take a bus to get closer to Ponte Pedonal Pedro e Inês. Look for the bus stop for Line 34 or Line 35, which will take you towards the river area. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the stop closest to the river known as 'Ponte de Santa Clara'. Once you get off, walk towards the river, and you will soon see the pedestrian bridge, Ponte Pedonal Pedro e Inês, just a short walk away.

  If you are at the historic area of Santa Clara, head towards the riverbank. Follow the riverside path which is scenic and peaceful. Continue walking along the path for approximately 15 minutes until you reach Ponte Pedonal Pedro e Inês. The bridge will be visible ahead, and you can enjoy the beautiful views of the river as you approach.
