If you're traveling by car from the Douro Valley, take the A24 highway towards Porto. Merge onto the A1 motorway in the direction of Porto. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes, take exit 5 toward Rua do Comércio. Continue straight until you reach the city center. Follow signs to R. das Flores. The MMIPO - Museu da Misericórdia do Porto will be on your left at R. das Flores 15, 4050-265 Porto. There are limited street parking options, so consider using nearby parking garages, which may incur costs ranging from €1 to €2 per hour.

Public Transportation - Train
From the Douro Valley, you can take a train from the nearest train station (e.g., Peso da Régua) to Porto. The journey takes about 2 hours. Purchase a ticket at the station or online. Once you arrive at Porto's Campanhã station, transfer to the metro (Line A - Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the Aliados station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the museum. Head south on Avenida dos Aliados, turn left onto Rua das Flores, and you will find MMIPO at R. das Flores 15.
