If you are in the city center of Guimarães, start by heading towards the main square, Praça de Santiago. From there, walk towards the Guimarães train station. It will take you about 15 minutes on foot. Once you reach the train station, take the train to Porto. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Porto's Campanhã station, exit the station and follow the signs to the metro. Take the metro on the Purple Line (Line A) towards Estádio do Dragão. Get off at the Trindade station. From Trindade, transfer to the Yellow Line (Line D) towards Santo Ovídio and get off at the Bolhão station. Finally, take a 10-minute walk to Campo dos Mártires da Pátria where you will find Antiga Cadeia da Relação do Porto.
Bus
To reach Antiga Cadeia da Relação do Porto, start from Guimarães' city center and walk to the bus station located near the train station. Purchase a ticket for a bus to Porto, which should take about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Porto, walk towards the metro station, which is a short walk away. From there, take the metro on the Yellow Line (Line D) towards Santo Ovídio and get off at the Bolhão station. The Antiga Cadeia da Relação do Porto is about a 10-minute walk from the Bolhão station. Head east on Rua de Fernandes Tomás, turn left onto Rua do Almada, and continue straight until you reach Campo dos Mártires da Pátria.
