Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head to R. do Gen. Torres 28, 4430-106 Porto. From the center of Douro, take the N-222 road towards Porto. Continue on the N-222 until you reach the A1 motorway. Merge onto the A1 and follow the signs for Porto. Once in Porto, take exit 7 for the A20 towards Póvoa de Varzim/Porto. Continue on A20 until you reach the center of Porto. Follow signs for the city center, and then navigate to R. do Gen. Torres. There is public parking available nearby, which may incur a fee of around €1.50 per hour.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take the train from Douro to Porto. Board the train at the Douro station; trains frequently run to São Bento station in Porto. The journey takes about 2 hours. From São Bento, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take the metro. If walking, head southwest towards the Ribeira area, then follow the riverside until you reach R. do Gen. Torres. Alternatively, take the Metro do Porto from São Bento to the Casa da Música station and transfer to the bus line 600, which will take you close to your destination. The metro ticket costs around €1.20.

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or rideshare service like Uber. If you are in the Douro region, simply request a ride to R. do Gen. Torres 28, Porto. The fare may vary based on your exact location but expect to pay around €30-€40 for a taxi ride from central Douro to Porto. This is the quickest way to reach your destination without the hassle of public transport transfers.
