Évora Cork & Castle: From Cork Oak to Evoramonte — Private Tour

An absolute must when visiting Alentejo

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! I had an absolutely fantastic experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Évora. It was a lot of fun! João was an excellent guide, welcoming, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. As a solo traveller, it isn't always easy to find tours that are willing to accommodate just one person, so I was especially grateful that he adapted the experience for me. The tour lasted around three hours and included so much more than I expected. We drove through the beautiful cork oak forests, visited a cork factory to learn about the fascinating production process (something I knew very little about beforehand!), explored Évora Monte Castle, and enjoyed some truly stunning scenery and viewpoints along the way. What I loved most was that it didn't feel like a scripted tour. João shared so much fascinating history and local knowledge and is genuinely passionate about the history and culture of the region. I never felt rushed and had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn about cork production and the local area. The combination of history, nature, beautiful landscapes and great conversation made this one of the highlights of my time in Portugal. If you're visiting Évora and are considering a cork tour, don't hesitate to book this one. It was informative, fun and a wonderful way to experience the Alentejo region. Thank you, João, for making my visit to Évora so memorable!
