From Faro city center, head to the main bus station, called 'Terminal Rodoviário de Faro'. You can find it near the marina. Look for the bus lines heading towards Albufeira. Purchase a ticket to Albufeira; the journey will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Albufeira bus station, exit the station and walk straight along Avenida da Liberdade for about 10 minutes until you reach Albufeira Old Town.

From Faro, take a train from 'Faro Train Station' to 'Albufeira - Ferreiras Station'. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Albufeira - Ferreiras Station, you will need to take a local bus (line 1 or 2) towards Albufeira. Get off at the stop closest to the Old Town, which is 'Centro de Albufeira'. From there, walk for about 5 minutes along Avenida da Liberdade to reach Albufeira Old Town.
