    Getting There

    Bus

    From the center of Faro, head to the Faro Bus Station (Estação Rodoviária de Faro). You can catch a bus to Carvoeiro. Look for the bus line that goes towards Lagoa or directly to Carvoeiro. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Carvoeiro, look for signs directing you to the Farol de Alfanzina, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

    Train and Bus

    From Faro, take a train from Faro Train Station to Lagoa. The train ride will take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Lagoa station, exit and find the bus stop for local buses heading to Carvoeiro. Board the bus, and it should take about 15 minutes to reach Carvoeiro. Once in Carvoeiro, follow the walking directions to the Farol de Alfanzina, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

    If you are in Carvoeiro already, you can walk to the Farol de Alfanzina by heading south towards the coastline. Follow the path along the cliffs, enjoying the scenic views. The lighthouse is well-marked, and the walk should take around 30 minutes from the center of Carvoeiro. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
