Getting There

• Bus

  To reach Marinha Beach from Faro, start by making your way to the Faro Bus Station, located at Avenida da República. Once there, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Lagoa. The journey takes about 45 minutes. After arriving at Lagoa Bus Station, exit the station and catch bus number 2, which travels towards Carvoeiro. Get off at the stop for Marinha Beach. From the bus stop, follow the signs leading down to the beach, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route to Marinha Beach, consider taking a taxi. You can easily find taxis near major hotels or call one from your accommodation in Faro. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Marinha Beach (Praia da Marinha).

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore the area, you can rent a bicycle in Faro. Head towards the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and follow the cycle path towards Lagoa. The ride to Marinha Beach will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen, as some parts of the route may not have shade. Once you reach Lagoa, follow the signs to Marinha Beach, which is about a 5 km ride from Lagoa.
