Walking
If you are starting from Faro city center (around Praça da República), walk towards the Avenida da República and head east. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the end of the avenue. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua da Liberdade. Follow this street as it becomes Rua 1º de Maio. Keep walking straight until you reach Rua da Baixa, which will lead you to the beach area. You will see signs for Olhos de Água directing you south. Continue walking until you reach the beach, which is about a 45-minute walk from the city center.
Public Bus
From Faro city center, head to the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Faro). Look for the bus line that goes to Albufeira or Olhos de Água. The bus service is operated by EVA Transportes. Purchase a ticket at the counter or on the bus. The journey to Olhos de Água will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Olhos de Água stop, you will be just a short walk from the beach area.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Faro city center to Olhos de Água. Head to any taxi stand in the city or use a ride-hailing app. The drive will take about 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to specify 'Olhos de Água' to the driver.
