    Walking

    From the center of Guimarães, head towards Praça de São Tiago. You can find this square by walking down Rua de São Tiago. Once you reach the square, continue straight onto Rua de São Francisco until you reach the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Guimarães). From there, take a bus to Porto. The ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Porto, follow the signs to the metro station at Campo 24 de Agosto. Take the metro line A (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos and get off at the São Bento station. From São Bento station, exit and follow the signs to the Ribeira area. Walk down Rua de Infante D. Henrique and cross the bridge over the Douro River to reach Cais da Ribeira.

    To get to Cais da Ribeira from Guimarães, make your way to the Terminal Rodoviário de Guimarães. You can walk there from the city center, taking around 10-15 minutes. At the bus station, find the bus that goes to Porto. The journey will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Porto, walk towards the metro station, Campo 24 de Agosto. Take the metro line A (Blue Line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos, and get off at São Bento station. After exiting the metro, follow the signs for Ribeira, and walk down Rua de Infante D. Henrique. Continue until you reach the waterfront at Cais da Ribeira.
