Getting There

Walking
From the Guimarães train station, exit and head southeast on Rua de São Gonçalo toward Avenida de Dom João IV. Continue straight onto Avenida de Dom João IV for about 1.1 kilometers. Once you reach the intersection with Avenida dos Descobrimentos, turn left and walk until you reach the square Largo da Oliveira. From here, head northeast onto Rua de São Vicente. Continue walking until you reach the Largo da Lapa, where the Igreja da Lapa is located on your right at Largo da Lapa 1.

From the Guimarães bus terminal, take the bus line 1 towards the city center. Ride for approximately 20 minutes and alight at the stop 'Estação de Comboios'. From there, walk south on Rua da Liberdade and continue onto Rua de São Gonçalo. Follow the previous walking directions from the train station to Largo da Lapa.
