    We had booked our tour for 1000 on Saturday, 10th May 2025,the second last day of our weeks City break in Porto. However,we were a bit worried as we were the only 2 people there at the time. But,our tour guide, a lovely lady whose name we sadly didn`t gather,was happy to do the tour with just the two of us. Firstly, we climbed to the first floor where there were photographs showing the Crystal Palace,which once stood on this site, and explaining its history and decline. Our guide was very informative and her English was impeccable. Having covered the history of the building, she now led us up the winding staircase to the roof terrace. Regretably, at this point, there was a serious downfall that sent us back into the building.Of course, we were disappointed,but our guide told us we can come back later if the rain goes off and she will take us up onto the roof again. Having seen that there was definitely a brighter sky between the heavy band of cloud passing over,we opted to remain at the Arena and have coffee and custard cake at their cafe.As we ate, the clouds passed over and our guide passed by and gave us a hopeful thumbs up. By the time the rain had cleared,a Portugese family with two children had turned up and were buying tickets for the tour.Our guide asked if we minded that she would be repeating the first part ,but in Portugese, before taking us back to the roof. Of course we didn`t mind! By the time we all got to the roof,the rain was gone and the sun was splitting the sky. The views were simply stunning,out over the Duoro and over to Gaia. Our guide paid equal attention to both us and the family, pointing out the viewpoints in both languages. There was no time pressure at all and we took a lot of photographs. Then, the guide disappeared and returned with a trolley from which we were served a lovely glass of Tawny port in a chocolate tumber...Delicious! Then we descended and said our goodbyes and went our seperate ways. A wonderful experience!

    Great views even on a drizzly day. Our guide, Barbara, was very pleasant and informative. Highly recommended of you don't mind climbing a few steps.

    Amazing tour-highly recommended. Lindsey is AMAZING!!! Best views of Luis bridge and the city!!! Better than the tower

    The views are beautiful but the price is excessive to the level of experience. From the palace gardens we have the same views and even more beautiful surrounded by the greenery of the trees.

    The views were amazing, we took lots of pictures. The only other way was the inner wheelchair that gives access to the entrance where the bars are filled with dust to the point that my niece has been left with black hands. The bar area could have had a milder air. Because it's almost impossible to stay there for more than 2 minutes. But the sympathy of Priscilla and guide Barbara are SUPER. Thank you
