  • Walking

    If you are starting from Praça de Santiago, head northeast on Rua de Santiago until you reach Rua de Santa Maria. Turn left and continue straight until you reach Largo do Toural. From there, take the right onto Rua de São Francisco and follow it until you reach the intersection with Rua da Misericórdia. Turn left and continue until you see the sign for Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar. The monastery is located at Largo Aviz, just a short walk from the riverside.

    From Guimarães bus station, take bus line 30 towards Vila Nova de Gaia. It takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Cais de Gaia'. The Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar will be on your left as you approach Largo Aviz.
