Getting There

• Walking

  Starting from the central square of Lamego (Praça da República), head east on Rua do Comércio. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua da Liberdade. Turn left onto Rua da Liberdade and walk until you see the Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios on your right. The church is a well-known landmark in the area. From the church, continue up the steps that lead towards the Miradouro do Castelo. Follow the signs for the castle, and as you ascend, enjoy the scenic views of Lamego. Once you reach the end of the steps, you will find yourself at R. do Castelo. Turn left and walk a short distance until you reach the Miradouro do Castelo at R. do Castelo 113.

  From the Lamego bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Lamego), take a local bus that heads towards the historical center. Once you arrive at the stop closest to Praça da República, disembark. From there, walk east on Rua do Comércio, then turn left onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue until you reach Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, then follow the steps leading up to the Miradouro do Castelo, as described in the walking guidance. It's a short and picturesque walk from the bus stop to the viewpoint.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Lamego. Ask the driver to take you to Miradouro do Castelo, located at R. do Castelo 113. The taxi will navigate directly to the viewpoint, and you can enjoy the scenic drive up to the castle area. This option is particularly convenient if you're traveling with luggage or in a group.
