To reach the National Library of Portugal, start at your nearest metro station. If you are near the city center, head to the 'Marquês de Pombal' station on the Blue Line. Take the Blue Line (Linha Azul) towards 'Santa Apolónia'. Change at the 'Alameda' station to the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards 'Cais do Sodré'. Get off at 'Campo Grande' station. Once you exit the metro, follow the signs towards 'Campo Grande'. The National Library is located at Campo Grande 83, a short 5-minute walk from the station.

If you prefer to take the bus, find the nearest bus stop that has routes towards Campo Grande. You can take bus numbers 20, 44, or 54 from various locations in Lisbon, such as Praça do Comércio or Avenida da Liberdade. Make sure to ask the driver or check the route map to confirm you are on the right bus. The bus will drop you off at the Campo Grande stop, which is just a short walk to the library at Campo Grande 83.

Currently, there is no direct tram route to Campo Grande, but you can take Tram 28 from Alfama or Baixa areas. Ride Tram 28 until you reach the 'Martim Moniz' stop, then transfer to Metro at 'Rossio' station. Take the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards 'Telheiras' and get off at 'Campo Grande'. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to the National Library, which is about a 5-minute walk.

If you're staying nearby or enjoying a stroll, you can walk to the National Library. From the Parque Eduardo VII, head south towards Avenida de Berna, then take the first left onto Avenida João XXI.
