From Lisbon, head to the 'Oriente' train station. You can take the Metro to 'Oriente' on the Red Line. Once at 'Oriente', purchase a ticket to Setúbal. Trains to Setúbal run regularly, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Setúbal train station, exit the station and walk towards Praça Marquês de Pombal, which is about a 15-minute walk. Follow Av. 5 de Outubro and continue straight to reach the square where the Pillory is located.

From Lisbon, you can take a bus to Setúbal. Head to the Sete Rios bus terminal, which can be reached via the Metro (Blue Line to 'Jardim Zoológico'). At Sete Rios, purchase a ticket for a bus to Setúbal. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Setúbal, head towards Praça Marquês de Pombal, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

For a scenic route, take a ferry from Lisbon to Troia. Head to the Cais do Sodré ferry terminal and board the ferry to Troia. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Troia, walk to the Troia bus station and take a bus to Setúbal, which takes about 20 minutes. When you reach Setúbal, walk to Praça Marquês de Pombal, about a 15-minute stroll from the bus stop.
