Walking
From the center of Chiado, head towards Rua Garrett. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rua do Carmo, where you will see the famous Elevador de Santa Justa. Continue straight until you reach the Praça do Rossio (Rossio Square). From Rossio Square, walk towards the south exit, which leads you to Rua da Prata. Follow Rua da Prata until you reach Praça do Comércio. This route is approximately 1.2 km and takes about 15-20 minutes on foot.
Tram
From Chiado, walk to the nearest tram stop at Praça Luís de Camões. Take Tram 28 towards Martim Moniz. After a few stops, get off at the stop 'Praça do Comércio'. The tram ticket costs around €3.00. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes, but be mindful of potential crowds, especially during peak tourist times.
Metro
Walk from Chiado to the nearest metro station, Baixa-Chiado (about a 5-minute walk). Take the Blue Line towards Santa Apolónia. Get off at the next stop, Terreiro do Paço. Exit the metro station and follow the signs to Praça do Comércio, which is just a short walk away. The metro ticket costs about €1.50, and the journey takes less than 5 minutes.
