If you are driving, start by heading towards Funchal city center. From the main road, follow signs for 'Centro' or 'Funchal'. Once you are in the city, look for Avenida do Mar, which runs along the coastline. Take the exit towards Rua da Carreira and continue until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua Dr. João Gomes. Continue straight and turn left onto Calçada de Santa Clara. The House Museum of Frederico de Freitas will be on your right at number 7. There is limited street parking available in the area.

Once you arrive at the main bus station in Funchal (Terminal Rodoviário), exit the bus station and walk towards Avenida do Mar. From here, you can either walk or catch a local bus (e.g., bus number 36) to Calçada de Santa Clara. If walking, head towards Rua da Carreira, then turn left onto Rua Dr. João Gomes, and finally take a left onto Calçada de Santa Clara. The museum will be located on your right at number 7.
